I'm so confused. I've been told to avoid posting "unsavory" things on my blog, etc. But... I'm not sure what that means. Does that mean personal things? Negative things? Whacky things? Weird things? Hobby things?
I'm not sure, so I've been afraid to update my blog regularly and am even considering deleting certain posts.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Assassin's Creed III info leaked!

GameInformer leaked some information recently about Assassin's Creed III. Apparently, it is to take place in the American Revolution. It seems like a strange setting, but after seeing the screenshots and hearing what they are putting into the game, I was thrilled.
Here is a basic rundown of the new features in the upcoming GameInformer article, to be released next week:
- The new Assassin is the son of a Native American woman and a British soldier. His calls himself Connor, but his birth name is Ratohnhaké:ton. Born into the Mohawk, he eventually crosses paths with the Assassins in his search for righteousness.
- Connor is quiet and stoic, letting actions speak for words rather than conversing with others. In contrast to Ezio, Connor is a freedom fighter who acts in the name of justice rather than on personal revenge.
- The game is set between 1753 and 1783, meaning we will be playing a good chunk of Connor's life, about the timeframe of Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood combined.
- Settings will include Boston, New York and a large countryside called the Frontier. The Frontier will be the setting of about 1/3 of the game's missions, and will be the location of many events during the game. The Frontier will be about 1.5 times as big as Rome in Brotherhood.
- The protagonist will fight on the American side, with primary allies George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Charles Lee. However, this does not mean that the Americans are the good guys and the British are the bad guys. The game will also once again, like Assassin's Creed: Revelations did, put emphasis on the fact that the Assassins' and Templars' morals are both gray, and that there is no "good" and "bad".
- There will be seasons in the game, meaning that the sun will shine during Summer and the landscape will be covered in snow during Winter.
- Fighting and stealth will be completely re-innovated, with Connor being compared to a "predator." The player will be able to climb trees and other natural elements, and dual-wielding weapons such as a dagger and a Tomahawk is now also an option.
- Animals will be present in the woods, like deer and bears. The player will be able to kill them and pelt their skins, to sell them later with the reformed economic system of the game.
- There will be puzzles similar to the Truth, only they will not be given by Subject 16.
- Desmond will go into the new Animus 3.0 and will find himself going into "significant events."
- 100% sync in memories returns, though this time you will be rewarded when you complete memories to 100%. Checkpoints will also be introduced to mission replay, meaning you don’t have to replay an entire mission to get that 100% sync.
- The Brotherhood, or Assassins Guild, will return in some form, albeit differently than we have seen before.
- There will be no more Mercenaries, Thieves, Courtesans, Romani or other factions, but there will be a replacement for them.
- Den Defense will not return.
This sounds really awesome in my opinion. At first, I was very hesitant about AC3, but after seeing all of this leaked info, and the screenshots on the ACWiki, I'm excited for this game.
Ubisoft did say they had this game in production for about 2-3 years, so it'll probably be better than Assassin's Creed Revelations. At least, I hope.
Again, I'm excited, and I thought I'd share this information with you.

Update again.
Well, I'm back at home, and I'm currently typing this at school. The walk to school was not painful at all, so I think I've recovered for the most part. I'm still going to wait five weeks before I play Skyward Sword again or do any heavy lifting. Besides, I have A LOT of homework to do, so I better get to it.

Update! I'm healing!
Hurray! I'm mostly healed up (still 5 weeks and 1 day to go to full recovery)! And I'm going back to my house tonight! I'll probably go to class in the morning.
Basically, what happened is I called up my surgeon's nurse and she said I could walk to school, carry my stuff as long as I don't stretch my abdomen (where the stitches are).
So, I'm good to go, mostly. :)

Paaaaiiinnn...
So, fun news (not really), I got my appendix removed Tuesday morning. My belly has cut and has lots of stitches. I can't move very fast, otherwise, I might break them and then Bad Things(tm) would happen to me. It's a very humbling and uncomfortable experience. However, I am very grateful that I was out cold during the operation, and woke up after it was done. :)
I've been told "no-heavy lifting for 6 weeks," which means it's also quite possible that I can't play intense games like Skyward Sword for 6 weeks (dang it, I was working on a FAQ for it).
Here's how happened: I was having some abdominal pains on Monday evening. My brother can and cooked some soup for me, while bringing a list of symptoms that, if I had any with my abdominal pains, I should call a doctor.
An hour later, I had one of those symptoms. I quickly called a friend who took me to an Insta-Care place. They checked and said I might have Appendicitis. So, I went to a hospital in Orem called "Intermountain." They took me through a CAT scan, and checked my blood. I was there for about an hour before I got the results.
And then the results came out positive; I had Appendicitis.
There was no surgeon there, so I had to be transferred. Since there is a certain hospital that one should avoid in the Provo-Orem area (called "Utah-Valley Hospital," don't EVER go there. EVER), I went to an Intermountain hospital in American Fork. I stayed the night there, and got the surgery in the morning.
The friend that took me was someone from my church's ward, also, two other guys from that ward came to check up on me (well, they waited in the waiting room) when I was in the Orem Hospital. We stopped at my house to pick up my medication that I'd need, and then they gave me a Priesthood Blessing of health. It was a wonderful blessing, and I'm grateful for it.
Anyway, I am in a little bit of pain at the moment, but I know I'll survive. I just about one to two weeks and I'll be fine overall, and then after another 4 weeks, I'll be completely recovered.
So much for getting my Wisdom Teeth out this weekend. :P

And you thought SOPA and PIPA were bad...
Read all about it here. If you want it stopped, go to "Home" and sign. I have.
Ugh. I'm TIRED of legislation trying to stop piracy by violating privacy. Seriously, a friend of mine gave me an interesting insight on how stop pirates--Companies need to out-perform them.
An example, you buy a TV show on DvD. One of the episodes is broken and unwatchable. You got to piratebay and get an illegal copy, and then that copy works perfectly with no flaws.
See the issue? People would probably not pirate if the companies would legitimately out-perform the pirates. Either that, or take the Steam path. Or whatever. Companies are too greedy.
Edit: Also, I know a bunch of signatures may not work and we'll need another Blackout, but you never know.

Great video!
I know I posted this elsewhere, but...
This is a great video about how we view different societies, people, etc as a "single story," meaning we only see one side of things. It opened my eyes to how stereotypes are made, and how we can avoid them. An interesting note this person says in her lecture is: "Stereotypes aren't necessarily wrong, but they are incomplete" (paraphrased).
This woman is very wise and seems to know a lot about cultural differences and feelings. I recommend you watch the movie, it's long, but it's a very good video. It is very enlightening and eye-opening.

My parents have left.
*sigh* I'm kinda sad they are gone now. :( I'm going to miss them, despite how stressful my Mom can be sometimes.
Regardless, I love them.
Make sure you tell your parents you love them, too. That's important.

Welcome to 2012
Hopefully, it's not the end of the world, but I highly doubt that it is because people predicted it and Christ said "I shall come as thief in the night." We don't know when he's coming.
Anyway, I had a good New Year's. How was yours?
